Brett Madden is the Clinical Research Coordinator for Dr. Yanke’s team as well as the Cartilage Restoration Center at Rush. Brett received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he majored in Integrative Biology. Throughout his undergraduate education Brett used his EMT license to volunteer as EMS staff at various university events. Brett also enjoyed being a part of “Healthcare for America,” which provided healthcare for communities that suffered from poverty. Continuing his philanthropic contributions today, he is a member of “Avanse,” a charity whose mission is to advance the lives of street kids in Latin America and the Caribbean. He is working on Basic Science studies as well as Clinical trials involving the knee and shoulder, while focusing on cartilage restoration and knee osteoarthritis.
